Our Cosmetology School Program
We will make you a valuable asset in the professional cosmetology community. With our beauty school program you will gain hands-on experience and training in hair design, cut, color, and multicultural techniques, hair and makeup fashion trends, and the art of hairdressing. Our methods of training will educate you on the latest methodology in skin and nail care, chemical reformation, and makeup artistry. With a cosmetology course created by professional hairdressers you gain the world experience that is second to none. By the time you graduate you will have the confidence to pass the State Board Exams and pursue your passions, wherever they take you.
Our cosmetology school program takes a total of 1,250 hours or 36 weeks (8.5 months) for full time students and 54 weeks (14 months) for our part-time students to complete. This also includes evenings and Saturdays, but that’s just more time you get to spend learning from some of the best in the beauty industry.
Cosmetology School Program Overview
Within the first 8 weeks of training you will complete 30 haircuts and 13 different coloring techniques. During your 5th week of training you will begin to cut and style on live models. All of our courses usually have at least 4 flex weeks per year (5 weeks in a month rather than 4), which gives you the opportunity to advance your knowledge in barbering, hair extensions, and makeup. In addition to our hands on training techniques, our team of certified instructors would give you a collection of visual DVDs and modern books to use as personal tools during your education. The curriculum created by fellow professional cosmetologists, not product developers will also teach you important business management skills so you can become a versatile employee in the beauty industry.

Cosmetology Course Breakdown
Our cosmetology school uses a four-phase program beginning as a freshman, and ending as a senior.
FRESHMAN – Beginning Beauty Basics
Hit the ground running with our introductory basic cosmetology course. You will learn the exclusive language of methodology and terminology each morning during your hour of theory. Then you learn 8 different styles and complete 16 haircuts with our hands-on-training.We also teach you how to achieve the geometry of cutting hair by mapping out the cut on “head sheets.”
SOPHOMORE – Clients, Cutting, and Coloring
As a sophomore, you will begin learning the methodology and terminology behind our coloring system. We teach you the various techniques to apply color and how to perfectly match the client’s desired color with the color wheel. Instructors will also teach you the value of time management, retailing and the art of successful communication. By the end, you will know 15 different styles and have completed 30 haircuts. At the end of your 5th you will also demonstrate their cut and style skills on a live model.
JUNIOR – Culture, Consultation, and Communication
You will continue learning about color techniques and application. Then you will learn how to perform a successful consultation, and apply your skills in the salon clinic. From this point on, your second half of the day will be spent working in the salon clinic with real clients. You will take your learning to a new level and enhance your training by learning how to make every patron feel like a VIP. Our cosmetology school students will also be able to participate in various extra-curricular events to show off their skills and creativity.
SENIOR – Skills, Success, and State Board Exams
As a senior, you will use their time on the salon clinic floor to perfect your skills. Our instructors will help you master communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to connect with each client and gain their trust. Then we’ll help you prepare for the State Board exams. We make sure you’re confident for your test through repetition of every required service. Our instructors will also help you focus on finding a career in cosmetology that is right for you, preparing you for interviews, polishing off your learned business skills, and building your portfolio. As you graduate from one of our Pennsylvania campuses you will have all the necessary skills and training to succeed in cosmetology and the beauty industry.
