ENROLLMENT / ATTENDANCE / FINANCIAL AID
GENERAL
Yes! Salon owners and guest artists alike spend time lecturing students about industry trends and mentoring our Students. Our students continue these relationships post graduation and many are ultimately hired by professionals they met over the course of their career at The Beauty Institute | Schwarzkopf Professional.
We have both by appointment and walk-in clients, who request everything from haircuts to hair color to scalp treatments. We encourage our students to build a professional network with their family, friends, and return clients. To help students master this skill, we have developed a program to educate students on how to build a strong and lasting clientele.
We are constantly providing additional experience and networking opportunities for our students in community events, hair and fashion shows, and more.
CAREERS AND POST-GRADUATION
Yes we do. As each student approaches the end of their program, they meet with our Admissions Leader to discuss career opportunities. Through our network we assist students in finding a place that is the right fit for them. Each student receives resume classes during our program so they can be proud to apply anywhere and everywhere!
The cosmetology industry is constantly growing, there are no limits to what one can do! Graduates may work as a salon assistant, stylist, salon owner, educator, session artist, school owner, platform artist, or a variety of other positions.
There are a number of different style salons out there, each with their own pay scale. Graduates may choose to begin as an assistant in a salon and work to build their clientele or choose a walk-in salon. By following the guidelines they have learned, promoting themselves, and continuing to train, there is unlimited potential for financial rewards and a job students love!
Every state has its own requirements for licensing. We are always happy to help graduates research what they need to become licensed in another state.

Students spend the first eight weeks in our Freshman program, learning and practicing on mannequins. After this eight week period, we perform evaluations to be sure our students are prepared to service clients. Students then begin the Junior phase of the program, in which they split their day between client appointments and attending class.
Yes, or course! Our student’s families are always welcome to come in during our open salon floor hours. We love meeting them!
