On April 18th, 2011, American Beauty Academy’s cosmetology students, Rhamir Johnson, Temieka Woods (model) and Khadijah Edge entered the student competition at the Hair Oscars held in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and won first place with the radio being made entirely out of hair.
