The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is currently one of the top newsworthy stories.  As the spill expands in gallons and length, we all question: What can I do to help?  Well…Here’s the answer!!

Paul Mitchell Schools are known for being earth-friendly and are frequently creating fund-raisers for different causes. During Earth week ’09, the Paul Mitchell Schools provided haircuts for $10 to $15 dollars to donate to Matter of Trust in San Francisco.  The hair was then recycled to create a mat of recycled hair which were used to help soak up spilled oil.  Each mat can absorb approximately a quart of oil!
